As you know Brendan was adopted and raised by a gay couple in Troy, NY. He was exposed to alternative lifestyles early in life and therefore has a differnt view of the world than most people. This often comes off as an awkwardness, but in fact represents his lack of bias or prejudgement. His love of music, and his appreciation for fine music, such as New Kids on the Block, have gotten him to this point in his life. Without music, Brendan would be lost.
